AR: Police Check On Sex Offenders As Spring Break Looms

Multiple agencies in Sebastian and Crawford counties conducted a sex offender compliance operation this week in preparation for keeping the community safe during spring break, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Operation “Safe Break” confirmed compliance with 452 offenders, checking on them to make sure they are following all sex offender requirements, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Authorities made four arrests during the operation, which involved non-compliance with sex offender registration. Officers will also be seeking warrants on another 10 offenders not arrested during the operation but who appear to be in non-compliance with their registry, according to a statement released by the U.S. Marshals Service. I would love to see some research on how many “Sex Crimes” are actually committed by spring break participants during that week. Things like public nudity, rape (underage sex, sex under the influence, etc), lewd conduct and the like.

If this article is to be understood, tax dollars are being spent on harassing and further criminalizing people who have paid their debt to society to ensure that the very activities that landed many on this list can proceed in an enjoyable environment.

Easy and safe, not like going out and busting dangerous thugs and gangs with weapons.
No brains, no courage required to run compliance checks on peaceful registered citizens.
And the local news gets their story for the day.
Everybody is happy…la,la,la,la,la.

I never laughed so hard in my life! Needing to watch “sex offenders” during Spring Break!

Don’t they know that spring break is ALL ABOUT SEX OFFENSES (guess it’s been awhile since the US Marshals were in college)!

This is just the sort of BS that they pull at Halloween! Guess they will want me to put “RSO” on my Speedos when I head out to the beach this year!

Great to know they are keeping those innocent Spring Breakers safe right!

The only thing more stupid than the cops who write these ludicrous press releases are the media outlets who publish/broadcast them!
